What to do?!?

Hey everyone!

Well, after you do the Introduction activity, please begin the Orientation. I hope that will have everything you need to feel more comfortable in the course!

This picture was taken from the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower, formerly known as the Sears Tower. It used to be the tallest building in the world. We were out on the Sky Deck where it was just really thick glass and well, you can look down and see all the itty bitty people below you. No, it wasn't freaky or anything HA! It was terrifying!!!!

If you haven't yet, please fill this out:  Getting to Know You. It helps me learn a little about you and gives me some contact options "just in case". It's the same link that was in the first blog, but just in case you missed it, here it is again. :)

After completing the Introduction Activity, Orientation and filling out the form, you are now ready to jump into Rosetta Stone! Your teacher has your username and password to get you started. Please write those down somewhere and keep them safe. You will need those all year!

If you need anything, please do not hesitate to message me through the Guthrie system or to send me a text. I can answer the texts much faster as I can see them before the Guthrie messages. :)

It's going to be a great year!!!

¡Buenos días!

Hey everyone! I have this awesome video for you called  how to access and read your Grade Book.  It is not new, but it should help you figure out how to look at your points.

This is a little long but I hope it will help you.  I ran out of time so sorry if it seems rushed at the end! Yes, I do sound like I'm in a tunnel or something. CRAZY. Sorry about that.

This is Shadow's new favorite spot. He is just "balancing" there!

Tips for Success!

¡Buenos días!

This blog is just about being successful in this course.  Many of you have already  gone on and done a bunch of the Rosetta Stone lessons. Let me tell you, my eyes were bugging out yesterday when I saw how far some of you had already gotten! WOW! This is wonderful because Rosetta Stone is worth over half of the points each six weeks- so getting this taken care of early just sets you up for FREE TIME later on!

When you first log into the Guthrie site, please check your messages. Do NOT hit ignore. This is where I have important guidelines for the day(s) and I need your attention.  So, please click on those grey boxes when they pop up at the bottom of your screen. You can also get to them by looking on the right side of your class and you will see "MESSAGES". These cannot be deleted, just so you know.

I would check the News Feed periodically.  The News Feed is important as it has the items I need you to be able to find easily. The messaging component in the Guthrie site does not have a search feature sooooo... Yeah.

By checking your messages daily and looking for new things in the News Feed, this will help you a TON. Also be sure to check your calendar.  All of your assignments will be there for the six weeks as well as the due dates. This will help a lot as we go through the year. No surprises here!!!

I know this is long, but I just wanted to share these thoughts with you. We are seriously off to a great start and I wanted you to know how wonderful this is.  Not just for me, but for YOU. WOO HOO! Have an awesome day!
